Page With a Really Wide Table

In Mozilla and Opera, the containing div is only as wide as the window, no matter how wide the table is. This causes the right side of the table to render outside the div. It is possible to fix this by changing the width of the outer div with javascript after the page renders, but I would like to find an alternative solution which doesn't require javascript.
